Your Privacy

Privacy Policy

We protect your privacy — especially our youngest learners. Last updated: August 2026.

Our Promise to You

Black Girl Ai Virtual Academy is a free, privacy-first learning platform. We designed the Academy so girls can explore AI without creating an account, sharing an email, or giving us any personal information.

What We Don't Collect From Kids

  • We do not require children to register, log in, or provide a name or email.
  • We do not collect a child's full name, address, phone number, or school.
  • We do not sell or share children's information with anyone.

Local Progress Tracking

Lesson progress, XP, and badges are saved only on the learner's own device using the browser's local storage. This data never leaves the device and is not sent to our servers. Clearing browser data (or using the "Reset" button on the Academy dashboard) removes it.

The 'Ask Kehlani' AI Chat

When a learner chats with Kehlani, the message is sent to our AI to generate a reply. We process the message to respond and do not store personal conversations. Learners should never share personal information (like a full name, address, or school) in the chat.

Optional Parents & Educators Email

Adults may optionally share an email on the Parents & Educators page to receive Academy updates. This is for adults only and is completely separate from the children's lessons. Adults may request removal of their email at any time.

Children's Privacy (COPPA)

The Academy is built to comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has shared personal information with us, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

Analytics

We may use basic, anonymous analytics to understand which lessons are visited so we can improve the Academy. These analytics do not identify individual children.
